Do you currently have an F1 Visa?*

Once you have submitted all required documents to the Community College of Aurora, we will create a document for you called an "I-20".  If you are applying for a first-time F1 Visa (not a transfer), you will need to set an appointment with the closest consular office or Embassy.  Please check the wait time to get an appointment to request your Visa to ensure you have enough time to complete all paperwork before the start of the semester.  You can check appointment times here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/wait-times.html

English Language Proficiency

What is your current level of English Language Proficiency?*

Before CCA can issue your I-20, we will need to have evidence of your current skill level in the English language.  You will need to submit one of the following to CCA:

  • SAT scores less than 3 years old
  • TOEFL scores less than 3 years old
  • Evidence of passing grade in a college-level English composition course taken in the United States

The Community College of Aurora has a college preparation English as a Second language program but cannot issue an I-20 to obtain an F1 Visa for students with no or basic English language skills.  CCA recommends that students with Basic English skills complete language training at an intensive English school first and consider transferring to CCA once English skills are more advanced.

Cost of Attendance

How do you plan to cover the cost of tuition?

Students applying for an F1 Visa must show that they have funds available for the first full year of tuition, fees, books, supplies, and medical insurance before CCA can issue an I-20.  The current tuition and fees estimate for one year are shown below.  Students must have a plan to cover expenses in the additional years of attendance.  Please note that some classes do have higher fees and if you take more than 12 credits in one semester, your tuition will increase.

$15,500
Standard Fees (please note that some courses/programs require additional fees)
